Isaiah opens by holding up the sins of a covenant people, then turns toward mercy and vision. Twelve chapters is too much for one Sunday. Pick one passage. Here are three lessons, each built on a different verse from this week’s reading.
Each lesson runs about twenty minutes: a 90-second Hook, a 3-minute Anchor, 12 minutes of Work, a 2-minute Turn, a 90-second Sending
Lesson A — The Covenant Frame
Anchor verse: “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).
Hook
Open with a question: “Isaiah opens his book listing everything the Lord’s people have done wrong. Then he says one thing that sounds nothing like an accusation. What do you think it could be?”
Give them a few seconds, then read Isaiah 1:18 aloud.
